Resources
Below you will find all sorts of resources I have found useful and have found essential to setting up this blog, making money online, etc. BUT… let’s be clear about something. Some of the following links will be affiliate links, which means that if you sign up for a service or purchase a product through those links, I will earn a commission from them.
So how do you know that I’m not recommending these resources just to earn some commission? Because if you have had a look around Experiments In Passive Income, you will see that being honest is something that I take pride in. Without further ado…
Remember, as my arsenal grows, so will this list, so check back once in a while
Want To Set Up A Blog?
Namecheap:
I usually register my domain name through Namecheap. Domain names are pretty cheap and their dashboard is easy to use.
HostGator:
For hosting, consider HostGator. They have various affordable plans and their one-click WordPress install (to set up your bog) is great. EIP is hosted by HostGator and I haven’t experienced any problems with them. (Not to mention, their customer service has been very helpful through email, saving me time!)
Tools That Help With My Niche Sites
Market Samurai:
This tool is worth every penny: I have used it to discover great keywords and niches. It shows you data the way you need to see it to help you decide if a niche is worth your time. You can check out the trial and see for yourself.
Blog Blueprint:
Another tool that’s helping me rank my sites in a reasonable amount of time. I used BB in the niche site duel where it helped me rank in Google within one month of using it consistently.
Not Sure Where To Start?
The following reads are what I credit for my start in the world of passive income and have helped me launch Experiments In Passive Income and my mini-sites:
Cloud Living:
Cloud Living, written by Glen Allsop, is a great ebook that goes into detail about how he makes money online. He shows you how you can do this by blogging or setting up mini-sites. If you don’t know where to begin, this is it. This is how I got my start last year and the information in Cloud Living is the basis for my main experiments here.
The 4 Hour Work Week:
Authored by Tim Ferriss, this book is necessary in the way it opens your mind to the options of living a non 9-5 job.
Interesting Tools

Google Keyword Tool:
All my keyword research begins with this free tool. Need help understanding how to use it? Start by reading Understanding The Google Keyword Suggestion Tool So You Can Conquer Affiliate Sales
SEO Quake Add-On for Firefox:
SEO Quake is a neat toolbar you can install for Firefox. It helps you by showing you the number of incoming and outgoing links, the number of indexed pages in Google and Bing, as well as the age of a domain. Lots of neat information right in front of you, aggregated.
